If you sell regularly on Vinted, you’ll know how quickly you get through mailing bags. Picking the right size and finding affordable supplies can make a big difference to your profit margin. After hundreds of parcels sent from my own Vinted sales, I’ve learned which mailing bags work best, which sizes you actually need, and where to buy them cheaply both online and in person.

What to Look Out For When Buying Mailing Bags For Vinted
There are so many great options for mailing bags for Vinted. I really don’t like grey bags and find them boring, so at the very least I will choose pink mailing bags. I also get themed bags, for example, autumn themed bags. I get these cheaply on Temu as the prices on Amazon are a bit expensive for themed bags.
When choosing mailing bags for Vinted you want to choose bags that are the correct size as well as bags that are strong enough and waterproof.
If in doubt, check the reviews first.
What size mailing bags do I need for Vinted?
Mailing bags come in a variety of sizes, and choosing the right one depends on what you’re selling. Here’s a quick guide to help you decide.
6×9 inch – great for kids’ clothes, lightweight tops or small accessories
10×13 or 14 inch – ideal for most adult T-shirts, jeans or dresses
12×16 inch – perfect for thicker items such as hoodies or jumpers
13×17 inch or larger – for coats, bundles or multiple items in one parcel
Personally I bulk buy 100 of the 10 x 14 inch bags from Amazon for 9p each as they are perfect for most of the clothes I sell, and then I buy a smaller bundle of around 20 of the 13 x 17 inch bags for larger items.
Try not to go too big, as larger bags can make the parcel heavier or bulkier, which might affect postage costs. Labels also need a smooth surface to stick securely, especially when using drop-off couriers. If you’re not sure which postage option to choose, take a look at my guide to Vinted postage options where I compare Evri, Yodel, Royal Mail and InPost.
Cheapest places to buy mailing bags for Vinted online
The cheapest places to get mailing bags for Vinted tend to vary depending on stock levels and delivery times, but there are a few reliable options I keep going back to.
Amazon is one of the easiest places to buy in bulk. The prices per bag can be surprisingly good if you buy a pack of 100 or more (just 9p for pink mailing bags in a common size), and they arrive quickly if you’re running low.
Temu is another option worth checking. They often have large bundles of mailing bags at very low prices, though delivery can take a couple of weeks as if you are buying 100 or 200 bags they need to be shipped by land. Some of the thinner bags can feel a bit flimsy, so look for thicker or waterproof versions.
What I like about buying mailing bags from Temu is that if the price drops then you can claim a price difference refund and get that money added to your Temu credit to use in the future.
If you’re a regular seller, it’s worth keeping a stash of different sizes so you’re never caught short when an item sells unexpectedly. Having supplies on hand also helps you post quickly, which can improve your reviews and boost visibility in search results.
Where to buy mailing bags in real life
Sometimes you run out of mailing bags right before the post office closes, and waiting for an online delivery isn’t an option. Luckily, there are plenty of high street shops that stock them.
Poundland – usually has small packs of mailing bags in the stationery section
Home Bargains – often sells larger sizes and multipacks, great value for money
B&M – a reliable choice with a small postal supplies section
The Range – occasionally stocks postal items alongside office supplies
Post Office – more expensive, but handy in an emergency
If you’re looking to save even more, I’ve shared some ideas on where to get stock for Vinted cheaply. Picking up bargains from car boot sales, charity shops and clearance stores is one of the easiest ways to increase your profit margins.
Eco-friendly and branded options
If you’re trying to be more sustainable or want to create a professional look, you could switch to eco-friendly mailing bags made from recycled or compostable materials. They cost a little more but are better for the environment and can make your Vinted parcels stand out. You can even buy branded bags with your shop name or logo printed on them if you’re building a business under Vinted Pro.
