A European Central Bank survey found that most euro zone workers do not want to accept pay cuts to keep remote working options.
While the number of Europeans working from home has doubled to 22% since 2019, many firms are still adjusting their remote work policies. The survey revealed that the average pay cut workers would accept for two to three days of remote work is only 2.6%, much lower than previous studies suggested.
About 70% of employees would not accept any pay cut, while some would accept minimal reductions. Those who work from home more often may accept slightly higher cuts, but even fully remote workers would only accept a 4.6% cut.
