Worried?

Many people are worried about their future. I know I’ve experienced that many times in my career when I did recruiting, no one was hiring, and was losing sales, too. No, I never quite looked like this (Thank you nano banana), but I am a well-disguised worrier.
One time, I lost 3 sales in one afternoon after signing a lease on a new apartment in Greenwich Village that was originally customized for a movie producer, but he backed out. It was my dream–a triplex penthouse apartment with a fireplace, a 4-seater jacuzzi, and a roof garden. It had 20-foot ceilings, and both the roof garden and windows had a view of the midtown skyline. I had savings but no income.
I was stunned and terrified. I walked over to my partner and told her what happened. In her own inimitable manner, she said, “I guess I won’t be decorating soon.” We were new to living with one another. It helped. I buckled down and pulled out of the slump
